A controlled transfer biological sample material collection device is disclosed comprising: a body 12 housing a sample storage medium (30 Fig 2a) for generally dry storage of the biological material, the body including a lid portion 40 operable to provide at least open and closed positions for generally respectively exposing or covering said storage medium and a sample collection member 20 supported on the body for collecting the biological sample material, the collection member being pivotable from a first exposed position where collection of a biological sample is possible (Fig 1 a), to a second transfer position (Fig 3a) which effects transfer of at least a portion of the collected sample onto said medium, the device being characterised in that the lid portion includes a receiver (44 Fig 6a) for holding the sample collector when said lid is in the closed position.Linvention concerne un dispositif de collecte déchantillons biologiques à transfert régulé, comprenant : un corps (12) abritant un support de stockage déchantillons (30 Fig. 2a) pour le stockage généralement à sec de la matière biologique, le corps comprenant une partie couvercle (40) fournissant au moins des positions ouvertes et fermées pour exposer ou recouvrir respectivement de manière générale ledit support de stockage et un élément de collecte déchantillons (20) supporté sur le corps pour la collecte de léchantillon biologique, lélément de collecte pouvant pivoter à partir dune première position exposée à laquelle une collecte dun échantillon biologique est possible (Fig. 1a) vers une seconde position de transfert (Fig. 3a) à laquelle un transfert dau moins une partie de léchantillon collecté sur ledit support est réalisé, le dispositif étant caractérisé en ce que la partie couvercle comprend un receveur (44 Fig. 6a) pour le maintien du collecteur déchantillons lorsque ledit couvercle est en position fermée.
