A composition comprising a solubilized magnolol analog comprising at least one magnolol analog chosen from propyl magnolol, isopropyl magnolol, butyl magnolol, and isobutyl magnolol and a sorbitan ester. These solubilized analogs are useful in personal care, oral care, and home care compositions to provide anti -bacterial activity and reducing the expression of pro - inflammatory mediators. If isopropyl is selected, then the sorbitan ester is at least one of polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan monooleate, and a proviso that if isobutyl magnolol is selected, then the sorbitan ester is poloxyethylene 20 sorbitan monooleate.Linvention concerne une composition comprenant un analogue du magnolol solubilisé, laquelle comprend au moins un analogue du magnolol, choisi parmi le magnolol de propyle, le magnolol disopropyle, le magnolol de butyle et le magnolol disobutyle, et un ester de sorbitan. Ces analogues solubilisés sont utiles dans des compositions dhygiène corporelle, dhygiène buccale et dentretien ménager pour fournir une activité anti-bactérienne et réduire lexpression de médiateurs pro-inflammatoires. Si lisopropyle est sélectionné, alors lester de sorbitan est au moins le monooléate de polyoxyéthylène 20 sorbitane, et à condition que si le magnolol disobutyle est sélectionné, alors lester de sorbitan est le monooléate de polyoxyéthylène 20 sorbitane.
