The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a combination of two active ingredients minoxidil and castor oil for treating various dermatological conditions by administering the composition in topical form, particularly in the topical treatment (regrowth) of androgenic alopecia in males and females and stabilization of hair loss in patients with androgenic alopecia. Further the invention provides castor oil emulgel comprising 10 – 30 % castor oil as active ingredient for treating alopecia and the composition has achieved i) increase in density of hair ii) increase in diameter of hair and iii) increase in length / height of hair. The invention also provides novel processes to prepare above emulgel compositions to contain w/o/w emulsion. The emulgel compositions of the invention are also nanoemulgels.La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique comprenant une combinaison de deux principes actifs du minoxidil et de l'huile de ricin pour traiter diverses affections dermatologiques par administration de la composition sous forme topique, en particulier dans le traitement topique (repousse) de l'alopécie androgène chez les hommes et les femmes et la stabilisation de la perte de cheveux chez des patients atteints d'alopécie androgène. En outre, l'invention concerne un émulgel d'huile de ricin comprenant de 10 à 30 % d'huile de ricin en tant que principe actif pour le traitement de l'alopécie et la composition a atteint i) une augmentation de la densité de cheveux, ii) une augmentation du diamètre des cheveux et iii) une augmentation de la longueur/hauteur des cheveux. L'invention concerne également de nouveaux procédés pour préparer les compositions d'émulgel ci-dessus afin qu'elles contiennent une émulsion e/h/e. Les compositions d'émulgel de l'invention sont également des nanoémulgels.
