PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological material to facilitate formation of bones or cartilage by using highly safe and biocompatible polymers without cytotoxicity for siRNA of Noggin mRNA, siRNA of Follistatin mRNA, siRNA of Sclerostatin mRNA, siRNA of Chordin mRNA, siRNA of DCR mRNA, and siRNA of BMPMER mRNA, and having high cell introduction efficiency and high expression efficiency after the introduction.
SOLUTION: The biological material includes copolymers with hydroxycarboxylic acid and polyethylene glycol as main component units, and at least one kind of siRNA selected from siRNA of Follistatin mRNA, siRNA of Sclerostatin mRNA, siRNA of Chordin mRNA, siRNA of DCR mRNA and siRNA of BMPMER mRNA. If calcium phosphate and/or a cell growth factor having osteoinductive activity is included in the biological material, formation of bones and cartilage can be facilitated.
