The present invention relates to an indicating device and a method for gait. The indicating device is used to indicate a position of gait on a walking route, comprising an object, a light emitting element, a light transmitted element, and an auditory cue element. The light emitting element is arranged on the object and continuously projects a light source on the walking route to provide visual stimulation for a patient with Parkinson’s disease, such that the patient can clearly know a proper step length when stepping forward additionally, with auditory stimulation provided by the auditory cue element, the patient’s internal initiation of movement may be improved effectively.
