An system and method for removing water from a vessel such as an aquarium. Thesystemincludes at least one water pump mechanism retained within a housing. Thesystem also includes awater inlet coupler extending from the housing, as well as a water outletcoupler extending fromthe housing. An inlet tube is coupled to the housing, with a second inlet tubeend coupled to thewater inlet coupler and a first inlet tube end extending into the water withinthe vessel. An outlettube is also coupled to the housing, with a first outlet tube end coupled tothe water outlet couplerand the second outlet tube end being configured to extend outside of thevessel. The system alsoincludes at least one attachment interface extending from the housing, whereinthe at least oneattachment interface is configured to retain the housing on the vessel.
