There is disclosed a pharmaceutical composition comprising racemic aminopterinor pharmaceutically acceptablesalts thereof. There is further disclosed a method to treat a disorder in apatient comprising administering a therapeuticallyeffec-tive amount of racemic aminopterin or pharmaceutically acceptable saltsof racemic aminopterin. More particularly, there isdis-closed a method for treating disorders modulated by at least dihydrofolatereductase activity, such as cancers and inflammatorydisorders, wherein the method comprises administering to a patient in needthereof a therapeutically effective amount of racemicaminopterin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
