PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a puncture part of a puncture needle from carelessly protruding from a protector.SOLUTION: When a puncture needle 10 of a puncture device 1 is inserted into a sheath 11, a protector 13 to be mounted on the puncture needle covering a puncture part 31 of the puncture needle 10 is retained in a retention part 58 of a handle 12 however, when the puncture needle is extracted, moves on along the puncture needle covering the puncture part. The protector 13 includes a lid part 41 provided transferable between a closed state for closing the tip side of the puncture part and an open state.
