The present invention relates to a safety cap for a needle. The safety cap for a needle comprises: a first and a second case formed to be able to rotate by a hinge and having a moving passage for a catheter formed therein when coupled to each other, a catheter entry passage through which the catheter is entering, and a tube moving passage through which the tube is moving, wherein the catheter entry passage and the tube moving passage are formed to be opposite to each other； and a movement restriction unit formed on upper plates of the first and the second case and restricting the movement of the catheter. The movement restriction unit comprises: a fixation end protruding vertically from the bottom surface of the upper plate； and a first and a second rib having free ends, wherein the free ends are connected to the fixation end and having end units respectively and obliquely extending towards the inner side of the tube moving passage to have an elastic deformation force towards an outer side.
