PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nutritional composition that can be prepared with a low viscosity, the composition being semi-solidified (gelled) inside the stomach.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a liquid nutritional composition prepared by mixing nutrients including proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and dietary fibers. Here, the liquid nutritional composition comprises 1 to 5% by mass of a protein degradation product based on the total amount of the liquid nutrition composition and 0.5 to 1.5% by weight of alginate based on the total amount of the liquid nutritional composition. The alginate has a viscosity of 20 to 200 mPa-s in a 1-mass% aqueous solution at 25°C.
