This invention relates to a coloring method, an inspecting method and apparatus for cracks in eggshells. The coloring method generally includes the steps of (a). coloring eggshells to have the pigments pass through any cracks in the eggshells (b) cleaning the colored eggshells to remove the pigments on the surfaces of the eggshells except the pigment within the cracks of the cracked eggshells.
