The invention relates to a disposable article having a longitudinal direction, a longitudinal centre line and a transverse direction, wherein the article has a first and a second longitudinal edge, a first and a second transverse edge, wherein the article comprises a first covering layer comprising a first surface intended to face towards the user and a second surface intended to face away from the user in use, wherein at least a first and a second fixing member comprising hook elements are arranged on the first surface close to the first transverse edge, wherein the first fixing member is arranged close to the first longitudinal edge and the second fixing member is arranged close to the second longitudinal edge, wherein substantial parts of the first surface are compatible with the hook elements.
