In accordance with the present invention there is provided an oil-in-water emulsion sunscreen composition comprising (a) a UV active, (b) a first emulsifier having an HLB value less than 5 and (c) optionally a second emulsifier having an HLB value greater than 5 present in an amount of less than 0.2% w/w of the composition. The oil-in-water sunscreen composition is characterized by the absence of an emulsifiable polymer and is capable of providing little to no whitening when applied to wet skin.La présente invention concerne une composition décran solaire en émulsion dhuile dans leau comprenant (a) un agent actif anti-UV, (b) un premier émulsifiant ayant une valeur HLB inférieure à 5 et (c) facultativement, un deuxième émulsifiant ayant une valeur HLB supérieure à 5 présent en une quantité inférieure à 0,2 % m/m de la composition.
