PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of generating chlorine dioxide gas and decomposing the chlorine dioxide gas in a short time.SOLUTION: A chlorine dioxide generating system includes a chlorine dioxide gas generating apparatus 2 for generating chlorine dioxide gas in a vessel housing pellet-shaped sodium chlorite and an acidic solution, and a chlorine dioxide gas decomposing apparatus 5 for receiving a residual gas of the chlorine dioxide gas discharged into a room from the chlorine dioxide gas generating apparatus and decomposing it.
