A motion feed through 600 for a surgical drape comprises a drive transfer element comprising a first portion 601 and a second portion 602, the first portion being releasably engageable with a portion of a robot arm and the second portion being releasably engageable with a portion of an instrument, the drive transfer element being movable relative to a bulk portion of the drape so as to transfer drive between the robot arm and the instrument. The first and second elements can be slidingly engaged with each other for example in a tongue and groove arrangement, a low friction material capture member (801/802, Fig 8) and roller/s (802, Fig 8), a rotatable hub/cog (901, Fig 9) and associated recess/rack/racks (911/912 Fig 9) or using concentric/nested elements (1002/1003/1005/1007, Fig 10).
