Provided is a composition which comprises a mixture of carbonate minerals and potassium salt minerals as main components for promoting growth and development of plants. Accordingly, the composition gets gently absorbed to the pores on the leaf of Boehmeria nivea L. Gaudich and increases photosynthesis, surface area, and thickness of the leaf. Therefore, a functional leaf of Boehmeria nivea L. Gaudich with enhanced calcium content can be obtained.
