The present invention provides a capsule having a shell of material that comprises an assembly of a silk protein, such as an assembly that is a non-aggregated assembly of the silk protein, such as an assembly where the a-helix, β-sheet (native) and random coil content is at least 55%. Also provided are methods for preparing the capsule, which comprises the step of contacting a flow of a first phase and a flow of a second phase in a channel, thereby to generate in the channel a dispersion of discrete regions, preferably droplets, of the second phase in the first phase, wherein the second phase comprises a silk protein suitable for forming an assembly of a protein, thereby to form a capsule shell at the boundary of the discrete region, wherein the first and second phases are immiscible.La présente invention concerne une capsule comportant une enveloppe de matériau qui comprend un assemblage dune protéine de soie, tel quun assemblage qui est un assemblage non agrégé de la protéine de soie, tel quun assemblage où la teneur en hélice a, feuillet β (natif) et spire aléatoire est dau moins 55 %. Linvention concerne également des procédés de préparation de la capsule, qui comprennent létape de mise en contact un flux dune première phase et dun flux dune deuxième phase dans un canal, pour générer ainsi dans le canal une dispersion de régions discrètes, de préférence des gouttelettes, de la deuxième phase dans la première phase, la deuxième phase comprenant une protéine de soie appropriée pour former un assemblage dune protéine, pour former ainsi une enveloppe de capsule au niveau de la limite de la région discrète, les première et deuxième phases étant non miscibles.
