Fixating or fusing a first and second bone segments separated by a fracture line or joint by creating an insertion path through the first bone segment, through the fracture or joint, and into the second bone segment and inserting an anchor body that is anchored at the distal end within the second bone segment. An elongated implant structure passes over the anchor body to span the fracture or joint between the bone segments.
