Portrayed and described is a splint for supporting a section of a patient"s body by means of a first body element (3) and a second body element (5), wherein the body elements (3, 5) are formed from a flat, flexible material, wherein the first and second body element (3, 5) have a substantially U-shaped cross-section in a plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (9, 11) of the body element (3, 5), wherein the longitudinal axes (9, 11) run in the middle of the U-shaped cross-section through the body elements (3, 5), wherein the body elements (3, 5) are connected to each other such that the longitudinal axis (9) of the first body element (3) and the longitudinal axis (11) of the second body element (5) enclose a splint angle (13), wherein the body elements (3, 5) have a bearing surface (37) facing the inside of the U-shaped cross-section and an outer surface (39) opposite the bearing surface (37), and wherein one of the body elements (3, 5) has a flat additional element (55) extending parallel thereto. Figure 8 is the representative figure.
