PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly that enables a treatment in a biological lumen using a catheter and a guide wire to be efficiently performed by improving push-in properties for a lesioned part of the guide wire.SOLUTION: A catheter assembly 10 includes a catheter 100 with a lumen, and a guide wire 200 that can be inserted into the lumen of the catheter. The catheter includes a tip member 140 at the tip having magnetism, and the guide wire includes a core material 210 extending along an axial direction, a coil member 220 disposed at the tip of the core material, an insulating protective member 240 disposed between the core material and the coil member, and a conductive wire 250 extending from the coil member.
