An antiseptic composition containing menthol and a source of silver ions as an active ingredient, as well as a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the source of silver ions generates silver ions in the composition at a concentration of up to 6 mM. 2. The antiseptic composition according to claim 1, in which the concentration of silver ions is from 0.25 mm to 0.6 mm, and the concentration of menthol is from 0.6 mm to 6.4 mm. The antiseptic composition according to claim 1, in which the concentration of silver ions is 0.6 mm, and the concentration of menthol is 3.2 mm. The antiseptic composition according to claim 1, additionally containing a hyperosmotic agent. The antiseptic composition according to claim 1, additionally containing a solubilizer. The antiseptic composition according to claim 1, wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is an aqueous solution. The antiseptic composition according to claim 1, which is a dosage form for topical application. An antiseptic composition according to any one of claims 1 to 7, for use in surface disinfection, wherein the disinfection is carried out by topical application of the antiseptic composition to the surface. The antiseptic composition of claim 8, wherein the surface is the surface of the body, wherein the composition is intended to disinfect the surface of the body of a patient in need thereof.
