PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively achieve a walking type tending machine allowing a machine body to be easily pushed or pulled manually even when an engine stops.SOLUTION: The walking type tending machine provided with a hydrostatic continuous speed changer 16 is equipped with: a hydraulic pump 16p driven by the engine 14 a hydraulic motor 16m interlocking the wheel shaft 4 and a closed hydraulic circuit connecting between these hydraulic pump 16p and hydraulic motor 16m with oil passages 75, 76. The closed hydraulic circuit is provided with a bypass oil passage 80 with respect to the hydraulic motor 16m.
