PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic safe to the body, excellent in moisture-keeping and protecting activities of the skin, and the ratainability of the effect, hardly providing sticky feeling to the skin and also economical by using rice as a raw material.SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by polishing a brown rice to provide a polished rice having 90-50% degree of milling, forming a koji by allowing Aspergillus oryjae to act on the polished rice, drying the obtained koji, optionally powdering the koji to provide a dried (power) koji, extracting the dried (powder) koji with water in an amount of 5-20 times as much as that of the koji to provide a liquid water extract containing glucide and amino acids, and formulating the water extract as an active ingredient with other cosmetic components.COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO【課題】 米を原料とし、人体にとって安全で、且つ肌の保湿・保護作用、及びその効果の持続性に優れ、また肌に対してべとつき感がなく、しかも経済性にも優れた化粧料を提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】 玄米を精米して精白度90~50%の精白米とし、これに麹菌を作用させて製麹し、得られた麹を乾燥しさらに必要に応じて粉末化することにより乾燥(粉末)麹とし、これを5~20倍等量の水で抽出して糖質及びアミノ酸を含有した液状の水抽出物を得、これを有効成分として他の化粧料成分と共に配合し化粧料とする。
