The present invention relates to a method for determining the permeation characteristics of a hollow fiber membrane. The permeation characteristics of the hollow fiber membrane are determined on a hollow fiber membrane bundle, and the hollow fiber membrane bundle is introduced into a housing to form a hollow fiber membrane bundle. A hollow fiber membrane whose end is opened at the first end of the hollow fiber membrane, and a hollow fiber membrane whose end is closed at the second end of the bundle of hollow fiber membranes. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for determining the clearance of a hollow fiber membrane, more particularly a diffusive clearance.
