The extract of roasted Alpinia katsumadai Semen, which is an effective component of the present invention, is obtained by extracting roasted, dried and pulverized Alpinia katsumadai Semen, and the extract of roasted Alpinia katsumadai Semen is confirmed to have remarkably improved tyrosinase inhibitory activity compared to an extract of unroasted Alpinia katsumadai Semen.
