PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-foaming dentifrice which is excellent in foam formation speed, foam dispersibility, and rinsability while shape retention property capable of mounting on a toothbrush is given, and the self-foaming dentifrice contained in a container.SOLUTION: A self-foaming dentifrice comprises: (A) a first composition which contains 15-40 mass% of a bicarbonate and/or a sesquicarbonate and (B) a second composition separated from (A) which contains 1-20 mass% of an organic acid, wherein (C) (C-1) an inorganic thickener and (C-2) an organic thickener are mixed with each of the compositions while total content of (C-1) and (C-2) and mass ratio of (C-1)/(C-2) is within a specific range, and foaming occurs by contacting both of the compositions during use.
