To provide a filter for a water feeder for pets which can reliably obtain sufficient filtration performance.SOLUTION: A filter for a water feeder for pets is detachably provided between a water storage tank and a water drinking part and is configured to make water W returning from the water drinking part to the water storage tank pass from an upper surface side to a lower surface side in the water feeder for pets in which the water drinking part is provided above the water storage tank, and the water W supplied from the water storage tank to the water drinking part returns to the water storage tank. The filter for a water feeder for pets includes a filter tray 6 in which an outer peripheral wall 62 is provided in a manner to rise from a bottom wall 61 where water passing holes 64 are formed, an inner filtration material 71 housed in the filter tray 6, and an upper surface covering filtration material attached to cover an upper end opening part of the filter tray 6.
