PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition produced from a distillation residue liquid of Imo-shochu (spirit distilled from sweet potato) and having selectively sodium discharging activity and potassium retaining property.
SOLUTION: The composition is a fat-soluble distillation residue of Imo-shochu obtained from Imo-shochu distillation residue by-produced in the production of shochu from sweet potatoes, by extracting the residue with ethyl acetate and evaporating and drying the extract, and exhibits the activity to selectively discharge sodium in urine and a potassium-retaining activity.
