PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for control of fish parasites, especially white spot worms.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for control of fish parasites, the method comprising administering a folic acid synthesis inhibitor and/or folate activation inhibitor to a fish continuously for one to two weeks in a daily dosage amount of 1 to 50 mg/kg of fish weight. A mixture of the folic acid synthesis inhibitor and the folate activation inhibitor is preferable. The folic acid synthesis inhibitor is preferably a sulfa drug. The folate activation inhibitor is preferably a dihydrofolate reductase inhibitor, a folic acid antagonist, or the like. The parasiticide concerned can control the fish parasites by oral administration. The method for control of fish parasites is effective particularly to parasites belonging to ciliates among fish parasites.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】 魚類の寄生虫、特に白点虫の駆除方法を提供する。【解決手段】 本発明は、魚類に葉酸合成阻害剤及び／又は葉酸活性化阻害剤を1日当たり１～５０ｍｇ／ｋｇ魚体重を１～２週間継続投与することを含む魚類の寄生虫駆除方法に関する。葉酸合成阻害剤及び葉酸活性化阻害剤の合剤が好ましく、葉酸合成阻害剤としてはサルファ剤が好ましい。葉酸活性化阻害剤としてはジヒドロ葉酸還元酵素阻害剤、葉酸拮抗剤等が使用できる。当該寄生虫駆除剤は経口投与で魚類の寄生虫を駆除することができる。魚類寄生虫の中でも繊毛虫に属する寄生虫に特に有効である。【選択図】なし
