PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article for pet, capable of suitably covering the back side of urinary organs of a pet by a three-dimensional gather portion without straining the pet, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 for pet includes a top sheet 2, a back surface layer 3 and an absorbent 4, and has a rectangular shape having a first end portion 11 and a second end portion 12 opposing to each other and a first side portion 17 and a second side portion 18 opposing to each other.
