The invention relates to a moisture detecting module for monitoring a moisturestate of a napkin. The modulecomprises a moisture sensitive sensor and a moisture non-permeable layercovering the sensor. The moisture non- permeable layer isarranged for attachment to a napkin surface that, during use of the napkin bya person, is facing towards the person's skin such thatthe moisture sensitive sensor contacts the napkin surface. The moisturedetection module is a RLC circuit that acts as a RF-tagthereby transmitting moisture information to a remote reading device.
