Present invention relates to the method of treating cancer. According topresent invention, a pharmaceutical composition made from "Mycobacterium w'(Mw) is found to be useful in the management of cancer. We have now found thatthe same therapeutic agent is useful in management of cancer. The use ofMycobacterium w containing formulations is associated with decrease in burdenof cancer tissue, decreasing symptoms associated with cancer and improvingquality of life. It also improves tolerance to other therapies.
