The insertion tube isconfigured for insertion into a patient body, and iscoaxially disposed around the shaft. One or more opticaldevices are coupled around an inner perimeter of theinsertion tube and are configured to detect the markerand output one or more signals indicative of an angularposition of the detected marker.
