PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which a rising flap is preferably raised and a contact of the rising flap with the skin is flexibly formed. SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 has a top sheet 2, a back sheet 3, and an absorber 4 provided between them. In the absorber 4, a front side portion 4A and a rear side portion 4C are intermediate portions 4B. A rising flap 6 is provided on the skin surface side of the absorbent article 1, and the rising flap 6 is formed by folding back the flap forming sheet 7 at the free end 11, and the folded flap forming sheet is formed. A flap elastic member 8 extending in the front-rear direction y and an acetate fiber aggregate 9 are provided between one portion and the other portion sandwiching the free end 11 of 7, and the acetate fiber aggregate 9 is provided with respect to the front-rear direction y. Provided at least in the narrowest portion of the intermediate portion 4B, the flap elastic member 8 extends anterior to the anterior end and posterior to the posterior end of the acetate fiber assembly 9.
