PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT system capable of preventing erroneous detection derived from polarization.SOLUTION: An X-ray CT system in accordance with an embodiment includes a rotary X-ray source, plural stationary photon counting type detectors, a bow-tie filter, and a processor. The X-ray source irradiates X-rays with a predetermined voltage and current. The photon counting type detectors catch photons of incident X-rays irradiated from the X-ray source. The bow-tie filter includes an edge filter capable of changing its position, and suppresses a dose of X-rays incident on the photon counting type detectors on the front edge of an X-ray fan beam.
