PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type mower with a simple structure which can save power for rotating a mowing blade, while performing mowing work by advancing a traveling machine body and mowing work by reversely moving the traveling machine body.SOLUTION: The mowing blade 10 is supported to the lower part of an engine part E so as to rotate around a vertical shaft center P2. The engine part E and the mowing blade 10 are supported to the traveling machine body 1 so as to rotate around a lateral shaft center P1. The walking type mover includes an incline posture changing mechanism which changes postures of the engine part E and the mowing blade 10 to a front down inclined posture in which the front side of the mowing blade 10 swings downward, and to a rear down inclined posture in which the rear side of the mowing blade 10 swings downward.
