elastic composite, and, absorbent article the present invention provides an elastic composite formed from a laminate containing an elastic film and a light non-woven coating having a low resistance in the machine transverse direction ("cd"). due to the low resistance of the coating, it is desirable that the elastic film has sufficient thickness and weight to increase the strength of the resulting composite. unfortunately, the ability to attach an elastic film to such a lightweight non-woven coating becomes increasingly difficult as the thickness of the film increases. in this regard, the present inventors have found that a second laminate can be employed on the elastic composite that is formed from a thermoplastic film and non-woven coating to provide increased strength to the composite. the film and coating of the second laminate may be formed from the same or different materials as that of the film and coating of the first laminate. independently, the laminates are positioned so that the elastic and thermoplastic films are face to face. through selective control over the polymer content and thickness, the present inventors have found that the elastic and thermoplastic films can be easily joined under light pressure, even under ambient temperature conditions. this avoids the application of a substantial amount of heat used in conventional ironer bonding processes, which can otherwise damage the film, and also minimize the need for costly adhesives.compósito elástico, e, artigo absorvente a presente invenção provê um compósito elástico formado a partir de um laminado que contém um filme elástico e um revestimento não tecido leve tendo uma baixa resistência na direção transversal à máquina (“cd”). devido à baixa resistência do revestimento, é desejável que o filme elástico tenha uma espessura e peso suficientes para aumentar a resistência do compósito resultante. infelizmente, a capacidade de unir um filme elástico a tal revestimento não tecido leve se torna cada vez
