PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitive ultrasonic transducer element which can be manufactured simply at a low cost, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: In a capacitive ultrasonic transducer element 1 constituted by integrating a large number of capacitive ultrasonic transducer cells, where a first electrode layer 5 and a second electrode layer 7 facing each other while sandwiching a cavity 9 are supported by an insulating base 4 in separation state, the first electrode layer 5 and the second electrode layer 7 are bonded, respectively, to the insulating base 4 via a bonding layer 11.
