PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized lightweight bear-avoiding bell that allows a user to easily switch between the state in which a warning sound is generated and the state in which it is not generated.SOLUTION: A bear-avoiding bell 1 includes: spherical bell means 2 a casing 3 in which the bell means 2 is put and a switching member 4 which is slidably fitted into an inner cylindrical member 12 of the casing 3 from the lower side. When the switching member 4 is pushed into the inner cylindrical member 12 and is made to approach the bell body 2A, a magnet 11 of the switching member 4 magnetically draws a rolling piece 2B in the bell body 2A (refer to Figure 7). In this state, a warning sound is not generated. To the contrary, when the switching member 4 is pulled out of the inner cylindrical member 12 to the descending end and is separated from the bell body 2A, the state in which the magnet 11 magnetically draws the rolling piece 2B is canceled (the state of Figure 1). In this state, when the bear-avoiding bell 1 is shaken, the rolling piece 2B hits the bell body 2A to generate a warning sound.
