The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, alleviating or treating pruritus, containing punicalagin. More specifically, the present invention is to provide a pharmaceutical composition, a health functional food composition or a cosmetic composition for preventing, alleviating or treating pruritus, wherein compositions contain punicalagin, a stereoisomer thereof, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The composition of the present invention can specifically suppress the increase in calcium (Ca^(2+)) caused by PAR2 activity by specifically inhibiting a PAR2 receptor, thereby being able to prevent, alleviate or treat pruritus.
