The present invention relates to a smart braille wand for a blind person, which comprises: a handle unit which can be grabbed by the blind person and a body unit which is connected to the handle unit, wherein the handle unit comprises: a communication unit for communication with other devices； a braille display unit for displaying information detected and obtained by a sensor unit in braille； a control unit controlling the operation of the communication unit, the sensor unit, and the braille display unit； and a power supply unit for supplying power, and the body unit may include the sensor unit for sensing the walking direction around the blind person.본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 시각 장애인용 스마트 점자 지팡이는, 시각 장애인에 의하여 파지(grab)될 수 있는 손잡이부 및 손잡이부와 연결되는 몸체부를 포함하고, 손잡이부에는 타 디바이스와의 통신을 위한 통신부, 센서부에 의하여 감지되어 획득된 정보를 점자로 표시하기 위한 점자표시부, 통신부, 센서부 및 점자표시부의 동작을 제어하는 제어부 및 전원을 공급하기 위한 전원부가 포함되며, 몸체부에는 시각 장애인의 보행 방향 주변을 감지하기 위한 센서부가 포함될 수 있다.
