A medicament packaging assembly for installation in a syringe, the packaging assembly comprising a cartridge 102 sealed at its distal end with a sealing element or septum 112 to define a medicament chamber 104. The syringe additionally comprises a removable cap 140 and a double ended cannula or needle 128; the proximal end of the cannula 128b being for the piercing of the septum 112. The packaging assembly further comprises a first chamber 144 defined in part by the cap 140 and arranged for receiving and sealing within it the distal end of the cannula 128a, and a second chamber 136 defined in part by the septum 112 and arranged for receiving and sealing within it the proximal end of the cannula 128b. In use the packaging assembly may be provided within a syringe which comprises a removable outer cap which engages with the cap member of the packaging assembly [Figure 7]. A cannula hub 134 may additionally be provided to support the cannula and 128 a coupling element 114 provided to couple the hub 134 to the cartridge 102. These integers may be provided as a part of a cannula module.
