PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injector in which an injection object material leaked during injection, and a combustion residue of an explosive component used as a driving source do not have a sanitary impact.SOLUTION: An injector includes a syringe unit having a syringe into which an injection object material is injected, an igniter, and a piston, and a starting unit for starting the syringe unit. The syringe unit includes a cylindrical housing incorporating the igniter and the piston, and is configured so that the syringe can be mounted in a housing space formed in the housing through an opening provided on the side face of the housing. The syringe includes a nozzle and a plunger that forms a sealed space into which the injection object material is injected, and can be propelled to the nozzle by the piston. When the syringe is mounted in the housing, the syringe is fixed so that the plunger of the syringe is arranged at a position facing the piston incorporated in the housing.【課題】注射時に漏れた注射目的物質や、駆動源として利用する火薬成分の燃焼残渣が、衛生上の影響を及ばない注射器を提供する。【解決手段】注射目的物質を封入するシリンジと、点火装置と、ピストンと、を有するシリンジユニットと、その起動を行う起動ユニットと、を備える注射器である。シリンジユニットは、点火装置とピストンが組み込まれた筒状のハウジングを有し、且つ、シリンジが、該ハウジングの側面に設けられた開口部を通して、該ハウジング内に形成された収容空間に装着可能に構成される。そして、シリンジは、ノズルと、注射目的物質を封入する密閉空間を形成するとともに、ピストンによりノズルに向かって推進可能なプランジャと、を有するものであって、シリンジがハウジングに装着されると、該ハウジングに組み込まれたピストンに対向する位置に、該シリンジのプランジャが配置されるように、該シリンジが固定される。【選択図】図１
