The extract of Artemisia annua, a plant commonly used in traditional medicine, is prepared by a method that includes the steps of pulverizing dried Artemisia annua plant material adding a solvent to the pulverized Artemisia annua plant material to form a mixture extracting the mixture with continuous stirring for at least five days, sonicating the extracted mixture for about two hours filtering the mixture to obtain a crude extract and drying the extract to obtain a dry residue of Artemisia annua extract. The dried residue may be used to form either aqueous or organic extracts of known concentration, and these extracts may achieve an effect in a patient that includes antibacterial, anticancer, anti-oxidant or anti-inflammatory effects.Linvention concerne un extrait dArtemisia annua, plante utilisée couramment en médecine traditionnelle, ledit extrait étant préparé selon un procédé consistant à pulvériser une matière séchée de Artemisia annua à ajouter un solvant à la matière séchée de Artemisia annua de manière à former un mélange à extraire le mélange sous agitation continue pendant au moins 5 jours, à passer aux ultrasons le mélange extrait pendant au moins deux heures à filtrer le mélange pour obtenir un extrait brut et à sécher lextrait pour obtenir un résidu sec dextrait de Artemisia annua. Le résidu séché peut être utilisé pour former des extraits aqueux ou organiques de concentration connue, et ces extraits peuvent produire un effet chez le patient, notamment un effet antibactérien, anticancéreux, anti-oxydant et anti-inflammatoire.
