Pharmaceutical compositions containing fraction obtained from rhizophora mangle extract and its use. The present invention describes a form of fractionation of r extract. Mangle through which it is possible to efficiently concentrate a significant amount of complex tannins. The fraction obtained by the proposed method has a surprising effect on the treatment and gastrointestinal ulcers and injuries, when compared to the medication that is currently used for this purpose, as it uses a dose up to 60 times lower than this and with the same efficiency. Thus, drug or pharmaceutical compositions involving the obtained butanolic fraction are described in the present invention, as well as the proposition of the compounds contained in that fraction.Composições farmacêuticas contendo fração obtida do extrato rhizophora mangle e seu uso. A presente invenção descreve uma forma de fracionamento de extrato de r. Mangle através da qual é possível concentra-se de forma eficientemente quantidade significativa de taninos complexos. A fração obtida pelo método proposto apresenta efeito surpreendente no tratamento e úlceras e injúrias gastrointestinais, quando comparadas com o medicamento que é atualmente utilizado para essa finalidade, por utilizar dose até 60 vezes menor do que esse e com a mesma eficiência. Dessa forma, são descritas na presente invenção composições medicamentosas ou farmacêuticas envolvendo a fração butanólica obtida, bem como a proposição dos compostos contido nessa fração.
