The composition for a self-emulsifying drug delivery system comprising dutasteride is capable of enhancing the convenience of administration by reducing the size of a medicine by reducing the amount of a diluting agent used in making of dutasteride, and shows excellent bioavailability by being emulsified into a stable emulsion in an aqueous solution and dissolution stability of the drug when stored for a long period of time under particular conditions, thereby being useful for preventing or treating benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostatic cancer, or alopecia.본 발명은 두타스테라이드, 오일, 및 계면활성제로서 PEG-40 하이드로지네이티드 캐스터 오일을 포함하는, 자가유화 약물전달 시스템용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 두타스테라이드를 포함하는 자가유화 약물전달 시스템용 조성물은 두타스테라이드 제제에 사용되는 부형제의 양을 줄여 제제의 크기를 줄일 수 있으므로 복용 편리성을 증가시킬 수 있으며, 수용액 상에서 안정한 에멀젼 상태로 유화되어 우수한 생체 이용률을 나타낼 뿐만 아니라, 특정 조건에서 장기간 보관시에도 우수한 약물의 용출 안정성을 나타내는바, 양성 전립선 비대증, 전립선암 또는 남성형 탈모증의 예방 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
