PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of eliminating clogging of a jet nozzle with filth.SOLUTION: A distal end section 15a of the endoscope includes: an air/water nozzle 33 a waterjet spout 35 an air/water pipe 38a for feeding washing water to the air/water nozzle 33 a waterjet pipe 39a for feeding a liquid to the waterjet spout 35 a coupling pipe 40 for coupling the air/water pipe 38 with the waterjet pipe 39a a backflow valve 41 disposed inside the coupling pipe 40 and a liquid shutoff valve 45.
