A tandem applicator assembly (10) for brachytherapy that includes a tandem (12) and a camera system (26). The tandem (12) has a tubular main body with a trail end and a lead end (28). A transparent cap (36) is affixed to the lead end (28). The camera system (26) is removably received by the tandem (12) through the trail end of the tubular main body. The camera system (26) is disposed inside of the transparent cap (36). The camera system includes at least one digital camera (46) configured to acquire color images from a patient (18) through the transparent cap (36). The tandem applicator assembly (12) may be used with a treatment planning system and method for customizing a treatment plan for a patient (18) undergoing brachytherapy.L'invention concerne un ensemble applicateur en tandem (10) pour curiethérapie qui comprend un tandem (12) et un système caméra (26).
