The present invention relates to the insulin injection needle with needle tip protection consisting of the needle body, needle base, main cover and outer sheath wherein: the main cover is provided with the trigger tube, front casing and spring, and the trigger tube is used to protect the injection section of needle body before use and the front casing is used to protect the injection section of needle body after use. Before the use, the trigger tube extends out of the main cover and is in the state of protecting the needle, and the front casing is in the main cover； after the use, the trigger tube is in the main cover and the front casing extends out of the main cover and is in the state of protecting the needle. The present invention correlates the unlocking of trigger tube and front casing with readiness of injection needle and it uses the tail cover and needle base to trigger the unlocking of trigger tube and front casing during the installation, which improves the safety and convenience of use.
