<;P>;PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus for recognizing a state in a living body, on the basis of a magnetic resonance spectrum. <;P>;SOLUTION: Positional relation between a tomographic image and a measurement region is made to correspond, and a correspondence image indicating the tomographic image and a spectrum is generated and displayed on a display means. Then, the spectrum of an observation object region in the measurement region is superimposed on the spectrum of a comparison object region so as to generate a spectrum superimposition image and to display the generated image. Thus, the two spectrums are compared in detail, or quantitatively compared by obtaining the degree of coincidence, thereby easily recognizing the state of a subject on the basis of a chemical shift spectrum. <;P>;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
